National Business Excellency Awards 2011

The National Business Excellence Awards is an annual award competition conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) with a view to recognizing business enterprises, which have demonstrated excellence in business, whilst contributing to the economic progress of the country.Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC won the Gold Award at the National Business Excellence Awards 2011. The award Ceremony was held on Wednesday, 30th November 2011 at Colombo Hilton. NBEA 2011 is the eighth annual National Business Excellence Awards competition conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. Out of 300 companies participated at the competition, Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC won the Gold Award while Lanka Orix Leasing Company PLC won the Silver award and Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd won Bronze award. National Business Excellence Awards is an annual overall business benchmark competition at which the companies contributing to socio economic development of the country whilst practicing exemplary business practices are awarded. Applications for the NBEA 2011 were technically evaluated by a team of highly qualified professionals and the final selection was made by an expert Panel of Judges headed by Prof. Uditha Liyanage, Director, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) .
